Cloudmakers Trio live at Sheffield Jazz, Crookes Social Club, brings together three of the most inventive players on the UK scene who blend downtown New York and European improvised music with world and rock influences

Live at Sheffield Jazz, Let Spin are a cutting edge post-jazz quartet of musicians at the forefront of the vibrant UK contemporary music scene. They have been making waves here and in Europe since their formation in 2012 with their explosive mixture of stylistic influences and focus on improvisation leading to incendiary live performances.

Trumpeter and composer Erik Palmberg’s quartet of top European musicians live at Sheffield Jazz, Crookes Social Club playing refined instrumental music full of captivating melodies and harmony. Erik has an expressive and lyrical sound, embracing his Nordic roots while remaining firmly in the jazz tradition and his compositions are both imaginative and quietly reflective

Gwilym Simcock and his band are joined by world-class classical artists, celebrated soprano Claire Booth and musicians from Ensemble 360, to play jazz standards, classical works by composers such as Debussy and some newly commissioned arrangements by Gwilym.
