Following on from their critically-acclaimed 2022 release ‘Thick As Thieves’\, their fifth album ‘I am Alien’ will be released in early 2026 on Discus. Building on the band’s explosive live sound in the studio\, ’I am Alien’ sees the band introduce an expansion of their sound worlds and explorations with the additions of Ruth Goller’s vocals and Chris Williams’ baritone saxophone and flute. Erik has an expressive\, lyrical sound\, embracing his Nordic roots while remaining firmly in the jazz tradition. His music is poetic\, emotional and played with deep seated lyricism while his compositions are imaginative and quietly reflective\, but allow him to push boundaries.
