Award winning trumpeter Hugh Pascall has developed a highly respected career on the UK scene as a sideman and now leads his own band. Described by London Jazz News as “an outstanding soloist”, his music is straight-ahead jazz with melody, a lyrical, vibrant and modern approach to post-bop jazz. He cites Freddie Hubbard, Wayne Shorter, Coltrane and Miles as inspirations, resulting in a broad range of tunes from beautifully lustrous ballads to irresistibly bouncing bops. Expect interpretations of choice standards alongside new compositions from his much anticipated debut album ‘Borderlands’ released in 2022.

“Pascall impresses with fluent, lyrical solos that unfold gradually and gracefully” – The Jazzmann.com
