Erik has an expressive\, lyrical sound\, embracing his Nordic roots while remaining firmly in the jazz tradition. His music is poetic\, emotional and played with deep seated lyricism while his compositions are imaginative and quietly reflective\, but allow him to push boundaries. His playing and compositions blur the lines between the intricate lines of the bebop language alongside the more expansive European and Nordic jazz sound.
