At only 27 years old\, Alexandra is already one of the most talented young musicians players on the\ninternational scene. Her awards include the BBC Young Jazz Musician in 2016\, British Jazz Awards “Rising Star” 2018\, Keep an Eye International Jazz Awards “Best Soloist” 2023\, Parliamentary Jazz Award nominee 2020\, and most recently the Next Jazz Legacy 2025 Award through New Music USA.\n\n  \nAlex’s distinctive trumpet voice is sought out by numerous prominent musicians such as Samara Joy\, Artemis\, Toninho Horta\, Orlando Le Flemming\, Kit Downes\, Dayna Stephens\, Jochen Rueckert\, Christine Jensen\, Arturo O’ Farrill\, Or Bareket\, Caroline Davis\, Dave Douglas\, The Mingus Big Band\, Savannah Harris\, Melissa Aldana\, Miguel Zenon\, Alex Hitchcock and Pablo Held. \n“Pretty much from the first note you know that you’re dealing with an original voice” – Matt Penman \nThe Alexandra Ridout Quartet brings together musicians who are each young\, prominent voices on the buzzing New York contemporary jazz scene.
