Empirical Friday, 19 February 2010, 08:30 PM - 11:15 PM Millennium Hall Nathaniel Facey-alto sax, Tom Farmer-double bass, Shaney Forbes-drums, Lewis Wright-vibraphone Multi award-winning Empirical return with their tribute to Eric Dolphy’s musical legacy - their own compositions plus arrangements of some Dolphy originals. Eric Dolphy was a pivotal musician in the jazz avant-garde of the late 50s/60s – appropriate music for exploration by this young British group who in the last 2 years have played to great acclaim at Festivals all over the world.
